Belly Up to the Bar

Wine, Beer, Fries
An exceptionally long day for both of us - Ry's first day back in five and just a very full day for me - a trip to Olivia's sounded perfect. Sure, we could walk. But it was misting today, traffic on Lamar was pretty thick, and this *is* Texas. He had beer, I had wine (limey, tangy, salty, sooo good - like a Salt & Vinegar chip), we both had "bar fries, extra crispy."

Ry bellied up to the bar.
...for this cadre of satisfaction...

A Very Misty Day
It as nice...I was working out of my car most of the day, with three appointments throughout the city, and it misted most of the day. I am a lucky man because Ryan waxed the car a few weeks (days?) ago and Lars (the car) looked hot all day. One place where I parked (I had about 2 hours between appointments and it was lunch, so I ate a nice veggie burger and then worked while I sipped on water mixed with a bit of lemonade because I hit the wrong button on the soda machine) was kind of at an angle so Lars was at a 15 or so degree angle and the water beaded so perfectly that it actually looked like water had been only pouring down at one spot, on the back, near the top of the window, and beads of sweat pouring out from there. Then I drove away and it just looked like any other hot streaky well-waxed car.

Looks artsy, but was just before a well-deserved Irish Carbomb. Our modern-day "Sherry".

Tilda.
One last note - I've been reading Alan Furst on my Kindle (one of my fav pre-WWII historical spy fiction novelist) and using my Container Store book-light - and Tilda does her normal pre-bed-time kneading ("knead us that biiiig loaf of bread girlie") but she is shedding a bit. Hair goes everywhere. And sticks to the Kindle. Ugh.

She had her first hairball a few days ago - thank goodness I heard her and moved her off the rug. How is it that they always find the rug?

She is cute, so she can stay.

Big girl - you are beautiful!

She has gorgeous eyes

Tschüß!!
