During our first meal in Firenze, a lovely plate of Buffalo Mozzarella and Prosciutto, we also sipped Espresso Martinis to get a little upper and downer at the same time.
We heard some chanting...and recognized something about the language...

I'm not sure if this was for a football or rugby game, but there were a number of Slovenes in Firenze that day. We've been privy to this regional pride before - remember
the Croatians at Picadilly Circus in London in 2009?
The following day, the Slovenes left - and were oddly replaced by Germans. Everywhere. Suddenly everyone assumed we were German. That's fine, I can speak that a heck of a lot better than I can speak Italian.
