We finished our bike ride around Frankfurt and checked out of the hotel at Noon. I forgot to mention, in all my tiredness, that last night we went to quite the rooftop party upstairs at the hotel. It's one of those fancy hotels (think The Standard in L.A.) where a Tuesday night is where a bunch of hip, young kids go to watch the sunset and listen to really loud music on a rooftop in the middle of a busy city because, hey, no one lives here so let's get verruckt!
Bopping along to a pretty great set (that included some Tropical House -- I am so in the know because I heard it was a new thing these days), watching the crowd, and sipping on Becks lasted us until around 11 p.m., which was 1 hour past our goal. Fun to see the local fashion and young "penguins" hanging out late past their Banker's hours. (The suits all look alike, like penguins.)
Down one flight of stairs to our room and of course the whole building is thump-thump-thumping until on the dot, 11:30 p.m. came and it was quiet.
After my last post of breakfast, we hit up a few more stores and then checked out and hopped into the car for a trip south for Arbeitskliedung!! Ryan has been excited for this genre for quite some time. When you have to do worker things, you might as well wear worker clothes!
About an hour south of Frankfurt, we successfully attended the store and even now I'm loving my t-shirt from there and even more, I love Ryan's coveralls.
Then, we stopped by Bad Durksheim for a lovely lunch, a stroll, and a coffee.

This is a town of 200 and absolute bliss on the Mosel. More to come as we slink into the slow pace of the river.
